Why Pet Therapy is Your Best Choice ?

Proper Testing

Our certified therapy dogs are made to undergo extensive testing to ensure that they possess good manners and also give positive reaction to being touched by strangers. After going through with the test, it is required that the dog and the handler of the dog go for three successful supervised visits in schools, or other public venue where they must have a successful interaction with complete strangers in therapy-like settings. It is necessary that two of these visits are in a medical facility.

Cleanliness and Health

The therapy dogs are properly cleaned and groomed before every visit. They are also kept up-to-date on rabies vaccines and other inoculations recommended by the personal veterinarians. It is also made sure that they show a negative fecal exam every 12 months.

Covered by Our Insurance

We also provide insurance for the volunteer teams in the unlikely event someone is injured as a result of interacting with the therapy dog

Testimonials from Facilities

Therapy Dog is the registration organization of choice for us here at Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix. This choice is primarily driven by the fact that the quality of testing is critical in the acute care hospital setting. The test is administered in the environment where the dog will serve so there is an accurate assessment of the animal’s behavior based on the noises, sounds, smells and other factors. Pet Therapy also has the best insurance of all the registration organizations. The combination of these two factors makes Pet Therapy the obvious choice for our facility.
